2023 Acura Integra Type R – The 2023 Acura Integra type R sounds cool, but there might not be a Type R option for the new Acura Integra.
Honda Civic Upscale
If you are familiar with Integra, you will not be surprised that the making of the new Acura Integra is based on the Honda Civic. The new Integra comes with a 1.5-liter turbo 4-cylinder engine and manual transmission just like the Civic.
Honda Civic has a Type R model and this might be the reason why people are asking whether there will be Type R for the Honda Integra, as well. The 2023 Acura Integra type R should be the upgrade of the Honda Civic Type R, after all.
If there will be a new Acura Integra Type R, it should use a modified version of the Honda Civic Type R powertrain. It means that it will be powered by a 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder unit that can produce 315 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque. There will be only the front wheels drive system with a six-speed manual transmission.
Nevertheless, other people said that the Type R of the 2023 Acura Integra should come with a 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder unit that is used by Honda Accord. It should be combined with a ten-speed automatic transmission. To make the Integra Type R different from the Honda Civic Type R, some people also said that the Integra Type R should come with an all-wheel-drive system instead.
However, it seems that the opportunity to find the Integra Type R on the road is pretty small because the Type S badge is used by Acura for identifying the performance versions of its cars, including the Integra.
Imagination
Although Acura might not release the type R of the Integra, people on the internet can be creative with their imagination about the Integra Type R design using digital rendering technology.
You can find various artists that try to bring the Acura Integra type R from imagination. The model is created from the new Honda Civic Type R as the base. The original Integra Type R is well-known for its white paint finish. However, the digital rendering makes the paint finish blue.
The rendering also comes with an aggressive front end that is accented with red color. Compared to the standard Integra, the Type R rendering is lower with a set of deep-dish wheels, aggressive side skirts, as well as a rear diffuser that covers the tri-tipped exhaust in the back.
Yet, people should not expect too much about the 2023 Acura Integra type R since Acura might not want to release this version, at all.
